Learn the Foundation Level of Equine Touch™
Over the last 20 years, Equine Touch™ has been taught to students to help their own horses. Anyone can learn the Equine Touch. You do not need a knowledge of equine anatomy, just a willingness to learn to help your horse and give the gift of Equine Touch.
Courses are suitable for the young or old, those new to horse ownership or those born in the saddle, the Equine professional or the keen amateur.
Having been practicing Equine Touch for over 15 years I am now able to teach Level 1 Foundation level as an Equine Touch Foundation Coach to enable you to help your horse or pony.
The Foundation Clinic - Level 1 Part 1 - Two days of hands-on tuition and basic theoretical understanding. Students are introduced to the Equine Touch by practicing the basic procedures on their fellow students and then transferring them to the horse. This allows students to experience the Equine Touch and by the end of the two days they will be able to perform the Basic Body Balance on the horse and rider.
The Foundation Clinic - Level 1 Part 2 - Two days in which we re-visit the Basic Body Balance and theory and learn to apply 6 key Areas of Concern in the horse. This is normally held 6 weeks after completion of Part 1.
Courses are due to start late March 2025 at a lovely yard on the edge of the Chilterns in Hertfordshire (Close to Junction 20 of M25) that advocates the ethos of a more ethical and holistic approach to horse care with a beautiful herd of geldings. Timings are 9.30am - 4.30pm daily, with manuals and training material supplied, course fee for two days is £200.
Classes are deliberately kept small with the maximum of 4 students per course in order that you can receive 1-1 tution. Because class numbers are kept small we endeavour to try and keep students with similar ability / experience together.
You will also have the opportunity to join the International Equine Touch Association (IETA) for on-going education and support.
I also intend on holding a review day for students later in the year in order that we can revise the moves and procedures and discuss any difficulties you are having.
Should you wish to go on and study further at L2 Intermediate and L3 Advanced Level or wish to join the Lantra accredited Equine Touch Practitioner Route then the ability to do so will be offered on successful completion of Level 1.
Due to the small size of classes spaces are limited and therefore a £100 deposit is required to secure your place.
If you wish to register your interest for courses starting in March 2025 then contact me below for a booking form.
